Guest Post: A bit About The Wonderful Ashleigh

This is my first time doing a guest post, and I’m so happy it’s been with the lovely Ashleigh. We got talking through a blogger chat on twitter, and I love to follow her blog Wonderland Warblings, and if you don’t already, I highly recommend you do too! We asked each other a few questions and swapped answers! Here’s the questions I asked Ashleigh.

1) What is your fondest childhood memory and why?

It sound really silly, and it’s one of those things I kind of don’t remember well enough to explain properly, but remember enough to know how good it was. There were some woods near our house that we use to play in when we were younger, my brother and I and some other kids. I remember someone setting a fire in these woods, don’t remember who or how, I just remember the fire. My uncle appeared in the woods, probably because it was time for us to go home and he sort of fell and sat on the fire and put it out, and I just found it hilarious.

2) If you had one super power, what would it be?

Travel through time. I don’t want to go back and change anything, I believe that everything happens for a reason and the butterfly effect and so on and so forth. I would however love to experience some of the worlds most memorable historical events, that would be fantastic. I’d like to travel to the future too of course.

3) What influenced you to want to work with Marine wildlife if you could?

We don’t know enough about the worlds oceans, and haven’t explored 95% of them, which means there are crazy amounts of species out there that we may have not discovered yet. That, and I love Sharks. Sharks are by far my favourite animal, they are misunderstood and truly beautiful. I hate places like Sea World, and would love to work at a coastal sanctuary for the beautiful sea life we have, and I like to fight for the freedom of the sea life that is in captivity.

4) If you could travel to any country right now, what would it be?

Japan. I have loved Japan for as long as I can remember, it’s just everything about the place. Obviously it’s quite expensive to go there in the first place, which is a reason I worry that I’ll never go. I’m a person that likes to explore things, especially historical things, there are so many beautiful temples and shrines. The country is just beautiful, so many beautiful landscapes,

5) Are you a sweet or savoury kind of girl?

Savoury, without a doubt.

6) What’s the most challenging thing you’ve had to overcome in life?

Probably moving out when I was 18 without any job whilst I was still in University. I had to move though because I needed to be happy, and that was the way to do it. I struggled quite a lot with money throughout the first couple of years as I was studying and paying full bills, and it was just really hard. There was a week period during this time where I did end up homeless, but I’m thankful for a student overdraft because it got me a weeks stay in a hotel!

7) If you could be any animal, what would you be and why?

A Shark because Shark’s are just cool.

8) Mcdonald’s or KFC?

Mcdonald’s breakfast is my absolute favourite. Plus, I don’t like Chicken.

9) What’s your favourite thing to do when you get together with friends?

FOOD! What else are you going to do with your friend but stuff your faces? Absolutely love it!

10) What would be your ideal date night?

As sad as it may be? I love going out to watch a movie and then grab some food afterwards, that’s pretty perfect to me.

I can definitely agree with some of Ashleigh’s, number 10 is exactly what I’m like! Doing this collaboration was tonnes of fun. If you don’t already, definitely give her blog and twitter a follow. It’ll be worth it!

Thanks to Ashleigh, and to everyone who gave this a read x
